Recommended Lock N Roll Ball Mount and Trailer Coupler for a T@B 400

Updated 10/24/2026 | Published 10/23/2026

Question:

Hello, I have a Toyota Tacoma and T@B 400 and am wanting to purchase a lock N roll hitch for the setup. I need one that goes in a straight line, not a drop hitch. If I ordered this one is that all I would need? Or would I need one for the vehicle side also? Lock N Roll Articulating Trailer Coupler for 2 Receivers - Trailer Side - 11,000 lbs Part Number: 336TS510

Hey Amber. The Lock N Roll Articulating Trailer Hitch item # 336VS501 is the correct one for your Toyota Tacoma. It fits a 2" hitch receiver, has no drop, and is compatible with the Lock N Roll Articulating Trailer Coupler item # 336TS510 you referenced.

Please note that the Lock N Roll Articulating Trailer Coupler item # 336TS510 is designed to attach to a 2" receiver like item # E-11 that would be welded to your T@B 400's coupler. Since you have an A-frame coupler, the Lock N Roll Articulating Coupler item # LR73VR would be a better option.

The Lock N Roll Articulating Coupler item # LR73VR will replace your current coupler, which will put the connection point to your Tacoma at the same height. Your existing jack will mount directly into the built in jack hole. This is a bolt on coupler that can be installed without welding.

What kind of camping do you do with your T@B 400 and how far off grid do you like to take it? Feel free to answer this and throw in any other questions you have, where it says Add Comment.

@AmberH You're welcome! That sounds like so much fun. The Lock N Roll coupler is really going to help on that rocky desert and rough terrain.
