Hi Zach!
If you mean the backrest when in the Thomas Payne RV Jackknife Sofa - Fold Down - 72" Wide - Smoke # TP88KR is in the sofa setup, that is going to be a no, unfortunately. You need to have roughly 1.5" to 2" for it to be pulled out to turn into the sleeper. The sofa and sleeper setups are also the only ways this will fold. So if you mean the seat section folding up to allow for more walkway room, that is also a no. However, it's a very good idea and I will mention it to Thomas Payne to see if they can come up with something that can do that.
