Is the Pollak PK34312 Rocker Switch SPST, SPDT, or DPDT?

Updated 10/12/2026 | Published 10/11/2026

Question:

Hi, Can I confirm that this switch is a SPST per side? And together they make a DPDT? Does it come in a round button? May I have a look at the internal contact diagram? Thank you very much. R,

Hey Ron, thanks for reaching out. The Pollak Universal-Design Rocker Switch # PK34312 is actually a dual-actuator, high-low-off switch with 6 terminals. Each side operates as an SPDT (Single Pole Double Throw) circuit with a center OFF position, rather than an SPST. Pollak classifies the complete switch as DPDT with dual circuitry. I am not seeing this switch offered with a round button.

The important distinction is that the two rockers operate independently, so it is not the same as a conventional DPDT switch with one actuator controlling both poles simultaneously. If you're planning to use it for reversing a motor or switching polarity, that difference matters.

Unfortunately, I do not have an internal contact diagram I can share.

What will the switch control?
