What Jack Should I Carry for Side by Side Tire Changes

Updated 10/17/2026 | Published 10/10/2026

Question:

I'm looking for a jack to take along for our side-by-side instead of hauling my floor jack around. It weighs about 2,000 lbs with our accessories and gear. Is there something compact that includes a stand so I can also use it for maintenance back at camp?

Hey Ryan! I'd recommend the Power Mountain Tallboy Bottle Jack with Stand # PM25ZR. The 2-ton jack has plenty of capacity for your 2,000-lb side-by-side, and its extensions give you an overall height range of 7-15/16" to 26-3/4".

You also get a 6-ton stand to support the raised load instead of relying on the bottle jack alone. Both pack into their own storage bags, so they're easy to take along without hauling a full-size floor jack.

What side-by-side do you have?

It's a Polaris RZR with 32" tires. We do quite a bit of trail riding, so having something compact to carry along is exactly what I'm looking for.

@Ryan the Tallboy # PM25ZR will be a great addition to your trail gear! Having the jack and stand together will come in handy for tire changes out on the trails and maintenance back at camp.
