Can The 5k Hitch On My 2025 Forest River FR3 30DS Be Upgraded To The 8K Lippert LC28FC Hitch?

Question:

I have a 5000 pound hitch on the back of my motorhome. I would like to go to the 8000 pound. Both of them are from you company. I can send you a picture of what I have on there now. I just wanna make sure it’ll both directly up. I’m not looking at pulling 8000 pounds. I just want a stronger. It’s on a 2025FR3DS 30.

Hi Ronald!

I'm not sure what hitch comes factory on a 2025 Forest River FR3 30DS, but if you are wanting to upgrade to the Lippert RV Trailer Hitch - 8,000 lb - Motorhome Frame Mount # LC28FC, you will need to take a measurement. This will fit 31.69" (on center) frame rail spacing, so double check that on your RV (I couldn't find it listed anywhere).

If you get a measurement that is different than that, let me know and I can see if we have another option for you.

I found a label with some numbers on it that may make sense to you F100487796 2022106655. I don’t have the exact measurement from bolt bolt but it looks like 31 inches Thanks Ron

@RonaldM Those didn't pull anything up for me, unfortunately. With that said, I would try to get an exact measurement to make sure this will work.
