Westin Bumper Brackets For A 1966 Ford F-250

Updated 10/06/2026 | Published 10/03/2026

Question:

Do you have an installation bracket kit for the 21000 bumper that fits a 1966 Ford F-250? I also need a Class 3 hitch that would fit the truck with that bumper installed. Im not afraid of some custom fitment work, but if I can buy something that works that would be best. Thank you.

Hi Dustin, nice truck!

While we definitely have a hitch that will fit your 1966 Ford F-250, the brackets for the Westin Fey Diamondstep Rear Bumper - Chrome Plated Steel # 21000 are going to be a bit more difficult. Westin only offers these for the 5th gen (starting in 1967) to the 9th gen (ending in 1996 for 1/2 tons and 1998 for 3/4 and 1 tons).

With that being said, you are going to have to drill into your frame to install the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13099 (which is the hitch we have for your truck). So you technically could use one of the following to get the bumper installed:

34" Frame: Installation Kit for Westin Diamondstep, Surestep and Surestep Deluxe XLT Bumpers # 92230
37-3/4" Frame: Westin Installation Kit for Diamondstep and Surestep Replacement Bumper # 92300

You will just need to pick the one that matches your frame width. The hitch can be used on either frame width by just reversing the brackets (pointing inwards for the 34" frame and pointing outwards for the 37-3/4" frame), so I don't foresee any issues with the brackets. It will just be a little bit of work to get them installed. Just be aware the 92300 bracket is only available through Westin at the moment. I'm seeing if we can get it added to our site though.

What are you going to be towing with your truck?

I plan to tow a small travel trailer. Loaded it will be over 6000 pounds so I’ll need a weight distribution hitch setup. I’m in the process of restoring the truck so that purchase won’t be for a while.
