Can the knob lights on the Furion ranges be turned off when not in use? FR97KR

Hey Matthew, welcome back! Yes, on the Furrion Range #FR97KR, the knob lights can be turned off.

It has a 3-position light switch:

One position turns on the LED knob lights
Another controls the knob lights plus oven light
Center position turns the lights off

What oven are you replacing?

Thank you Jameson! You're awesome! The lights off at night are a must. I am replacing a Magic Chef range in a '93 Airstream Excella 25'. The measurements are nearly similar and I am replacing the countertop at the same time so I can easily accommodate the slight differences. The Magic Chef height is ~22-1/2". I will need to modify the opening slightly for the shorter Furrion height. If there are any best practices when updating an RV range of this age I welcome the knowledge. Thanks again!

@Matthew glad to help! Since you're replacing the countertop at the same time, that should make adapting the opening for the Furrion # FR97KR considerably easier. The Furrion requires a 20-1/8" wide x 20-1/16" tall x 17-3/4" deep cutout, so I'd build the new opening around those dimensions rather than trying to duplicate the old Magic Chef opening. With a 1993 Airstream, the two things I'd pay particular attention to are the propane connection and 12V wiring. The Furrion uses 12V power for its lighting and electronic controls/ignition, which the original Magic Chef installation may not have provided. I'd also inspect the existing propane line and fittings carefully given their age and have the connection leak-tested after installation. Since the Furrion is shorter, filling/supporting the bottom of the existing opening is perfectly reasonable, but make sure the new support is solid enough to secure the range for travel and that you maintain Furrion's required clearances from combustible materials. Other than accommodating those differences, there's nothing unusual about installing it in an older Airstream.
