Question:

2027 Honda HR-V Sport FWD. This mattress is said to fit but the distance between wheel wells in the rear is only 40.5. Will this product work?

Hey there!

I did some digging into this, and your 40-1/2" measurement between the wheel wells raises a valid fit concern with the AirBedz XUV Air Mattress # 341030.

The # 341030 measures 66" long x 52" wide and narrows down to 43", so if you only have 40-1/2" between the wheel wells in your 2027 Honda HR-V, it would be about 2-1/2" too wide in that area. While our fit guide currently shows this mattress as a fit for the HR-V, Honda does not publish an official wheel-well-to-wheel-well cargo measurement, so I would trust the measurement you took from your actual vehicle.

Unfortunately, we don't currently have a narrower cargo-area mattress that I could recommend in its place. The other AirBedz XUV mattresses we carry use the same dimensions.

If you're open to using the back seat instead of the folded cargo area, the AirBedz Rear Seat Air Mattress # 341028 would be a much safer option. It measures 55" long x 35-1/2" wide and is designed to sit across the rear bench while filling the footwell area.
