I need help with a correct grille guard for my 2005 4runner sr5 v6 4.0. I bought a ln Aries 2058 and the brackets are off about 8 inches.

Hi Jeffrey, the Aries grille guard, part # AA2058, is confirmed by Aries to fit your 2005 Toyota 4Runner SR5 with the 4.0L V6.

Since you’re seeing the brackets sitting about 8 inches off, that definitely doesn’t sound right. Did you purchase the grille guard new? It’s possible the wrong mounting brackets were included with the guard if you purchased second hand.

The replacement mounting hardware kit for this grille guard is the Aries Replacement Mounting Hardware Kit, part # AABRKT-2058. Take a look at these brackets and see if they look like the ones you have. Did the grille guard come with any part numbers or labels on the box or brackets?

What made you want to get a grille guard on the 4Runner?

I purchased from rock auto brand new. The grille guard is 35.5 inches apart where brackets are suppose to be installed. The brackets are installed on my car are 29.5 inches apart. The replacement is the exact set I have. It's the grill that's wrong not the bracket pieces

@JeffreyK Got ya, you may be able to buy just the Grille Guard but we only carry the kit with the brackets or the brackets on their own. Did you buy the Grille Guard and the brackets from Rock Auto? Maybe they can help you with a return? it sounds like you got the wrong Grille. I wish we just carried the Grille for you!
