Question:
Somewhere in my Grand Cherokee there is a short. My battery dies overnight. I am interested if there is a wireless remote to disconnect my battery when I turn off my car and then turn the battery back on when Im ready to start? Any other thoughts appreciated. I really do not wish to spend $$$ for someone to try and locate the short circuit location. Thanks for this time.

Thanks for letting us help Bob. We do carry a battery disconnect with a wireless remote with the Roadmaster Battery Ace Battery Disconnect # RM39ZT. This system is primarily designed for vehicles that require the battery to be disconnected while flat towing, but electrically, it can accomplish what you're looking to do by allowing you to disconnect and reconnect the vehicle battery remotely. One important limitation is that the # RM39ZT is not compatible with 8-cylinder engines. If your Grand Cherokee has a V8, I'd instead recommend the Roadmaster Battery Disconnect # RM-766. This system doesn't include a wireless key fob, but it uses a small push-button switch mounted inside the vehicle to disconnect and reconnect the battery.
Both systems use a latching-style solenoid, so they only require a brief electrical pulse to switch between the connected and disconnected positions. They don't require continuous power to hold the battery in either state.
What year and engine does your Jeep Grand Cherokee have? That will help me determine which disconnect would be the better option.
