No, the fan does not have to run continuously on the GE Appliances HE RV Air Conditioner with Heat Pump # GE24FR. When you have the fan set to Auto, it will cycle on and off as needed. You can also set it to stay on if you prefer to have the air circulating all the time.

I also want to make sure you know that the # GE24FR you are looking at is just the rooftop unit. Since you are replacing an older R410A system with one of the new R32 units, you will need to replace the inside components as well. The R32 unit is not backwards compatible with the controls from the older R410A system, so you will want to go with the complete kit.

If your camper has a ducted system with vents throughout the ceiling, you will want # GE65ZR. If all of the air comes directly out underneath the AC and you do not have ceiling ducts, you will want the non-ducted # GE54RR. Both give you the matching components you need so everything is designed to work together with the new R32 AC.
