Question:
I have a 2020 MB GLE with option 550, including the hitch itself. No wiring was included, do you have the proper adapter and if so where does the adapter plug into the cars harness? Thank you

Thanks for the information Richard! To add a trailer wiring harness to your 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLE 550, I recommend the Curt item # C59236. This is a universal harness that requires splicing so it does not have an adapter or plug into a adapter port.
The Tail Light Converter item # C59236 is designed to adapt the complex Mercedes's lighting signals into a standard 4-way flat trailer connector by splicing into your GLE's factory wiring. To protect the sensitive electrical components, the item # C59236 draws power directly from your Mercedes's battery.
We actually installed the Tail Light Converter item # C59236 on a 2024 GLE. I have linked the video we made below so you can see how this wiring harness installs.
What kind of trailer are you pulling or are you adding lights for an accessory like a bike rack? Feel free to answer this and throw in any other questions you have, where it says Add Comment.
