Distance Between Holes On B&B Square Corner Cap

Updated 09/02/2026 | Published 08/26/2026

Question:

Good afternoon! I’m looking for replacement slideout corner covers. Right now I’m checking out Part Number: BM78ZR on your website and hope this is the unit I need. I see these through other vendors and there’s obviously variations but none of these vendors want to communicate with their customers to answer questions. I’m hoping to have better luck here. My covers measure 4 13/16” which seems close enough to this item. How about the spacing for the mounting holes? I have covers with holes 3 5/8” on center. Many I see online are significantly closer together if illustrated in specs, unknown when they aren’t if I can’t get an answer. Do you stock anything that my meet my needs please? Thank you for your time! Tim

Hey Tim! Sorry for the delay, we're a bit behind. The holes on the B&B Square Corner Cap for RV Slide-Out # BM78ZR are 3-1/2" apart. Since it isn't some kind of weight bearing or structural part, I'm sure you can make it work with what you have.

What kind of trailer are you working on?

Appreciate your reply, Robin! I was beginning to think I was being completely shut out by every vendor I reached out to. I have a 2001 Dutchman Fifth Avenue 28RK fifth wheel. Do you think the BM78ZR is the closest cover to matching mine you have access to?

@TimW you're welcome! Yes, the # BM78ZR is the closest match we have available. The dimensions are very close to your existing covers, so I would use these and adjust for the slight difference in mounting hole spacing.

@RobinH, Thank you for your help. It’s amazing there are so many variations on such a basic part where there doesn’t need to be.

@Tim I agree, and unfortunately that is the case across the board in this industry. Most of the time even the most basic repairs require "making it work." If you need anything else don't hesitate to reach out.
