Hitch Mounted Trike Carrier Recommendation that is Easier to Load

Updated 08/26/2026 | Published 08/19/2026

Question:

Hi! My wife rides an electric trike that measures about 70 long and 30 wide weight of around 70 pounds. We are finding it to be more of a struggle as we age to get the unit into the back of the truck. Im looking for some type of carrier with a loading ramp to make our lives easier. Any thoughts?

Expert Reply:

Hey David, the best option to make transporting the e-trike easier is the Lets Go Aero TriQuad Bike Rack for Trikes # LGA35ZR. This comes with a ramp setup that makes loading the trike much easier, holds the trike securely, and also has the correct length and weight capacity for the trike you guys have so it will be exactly what you are looking for. If she rides a trike what do you ride?

@DavidC oh nice! Yeah that's at least a lot easier to transport.

@JamesonC Just wanted to let you know that I had already built a wooden ramp type to hoist the trike into the back of the truck, but that's getting to be a bit of a challenge for us. What I think would be nice is a platform with a ramp on the side so we could roll the trike onto the platform, kind of like folks with mobile scooters do.
