Question:
Hi there can you please tell me what I should get for wiring my 2015 sprinter van 2500 has the 2.1 l diesel. I need it for pulling a boat trailer with surge brakes so I need a five pin flat plug with the reverse light hookup Im handy and can cut strip and solder /heat shrink the wiring because I really dont make a good no-cut plug and Play kit for my van except for a 4 pin, So Im fine wiring it with some universal kit. I can find the right wires. Im just overwhelmed trying to shop for it. Your website does not go down to 2015 by the way on the sponsored link that I clicked on. Im not sure why but it only does down to 2018. I can send the link if youre curious. Anyway thanks for your help please let me know which kit would work!

Hey Dill, we can help but the first thing you need to wire to your 2015 Mercedes Sprinter would be a 4-way like the universal kit part # C59236. Once that's installed you would then need to convert it to a 5-way with the part # C57187. This would need to splice into the reverse light circuit of your vehicle so that the 5th pin of the 5-way has the reverse light circuit like you need. This will allow you to tow your boat trailer that has a surge actuator and will allow you to back the trailer up.
