Thomas Payne Rest Easy Trifold Mounting Options

Updated 08/14/2026 | Published 08/09/2026

Question:

We have a 2013 Tiffin allegro open road 34TGA and want to replace the old sleeper sofa with the Thomas Payne Trifold sofa. The old sofa is bolted to the floor. Is there a mounting bracket of some sort that will also bolt to the floor or is it freestanding.

Thanks for letting us help Mary. The Thomas Payne Rest Easy Trifold Loveseat # TP69KR comes with four wooden feet and is designed to be freestanding, so it does not have to be secured to the floor. That said, plenty of RV owners choose to secure their furniture to prevent it from shifting while traveling, and there's no reason you couldn't do the same with this loveseat. It really comes down to personal preference, where the loveseat will be positioned in your RV, and whether you're concerned about it moving while you're on the road.

If you do decide to secure it, I'd recommend reusing the mounting points from your existing furniture. That way, you can avoid drilling additional holes in the RV floor.

Have you done any traveling this summer in your motorhome?
