Question:

Will the hitch for the 2026 Hyundai Sante Fe still allow an after market spare tire hanger and will the kick open for the tailgate still work? Thanks

Hi Bruce!

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C37RV for your 2026 Hyundai Santa Fe will definitely still allow your kick sensor to work. I have been doing this for over a decade now and have never seen a hitch actually negate that feature on a vehicle. You will need to kick on either side of the receiver tube, but it will still work perfectly fine.

The aftermarket spare tire hanger might be a different story though. If it's the same basic design as the OEM one, you will be fine. If it's completely different, we don't really have a way to know, unfortunately. I would assume it will still fit, but to be honest, that's a guess.

What are you wanting to use the hitch for once it's installed?
