What is Length of Double RV Waste Valve T80A and What is Meant by Hub and Spigot
Updated 08/04/2026 | Published 07/30/2026 >
Question:
Is the total length still 10.5 inches as answered a few years ago? What is the difference when you call the 3 end a spigot and the other a hub? Do they both accept ferncos? To the nominal pipe sizes?

Hey Mike, the Double RV Waste Valves # T80A that you referenced hasn't changed so it's length is still 10-1/2 inches.
The question about spigots and hubs is a great one though. Basically a hub is designed to fit over a pipe and a spigot is designed to fit into it. I think calling them male and female makes more sense but I like to think about it as spigots are usually small and hubs are bigger so I relate that back to which is the male and which is the female.
