What base plate fits a 2024 Ford Escape plug-in hybrid?

Hello again Marv! The etrailer Invisible Base Plate Kit # e29GV you were looking at is confirmed to fit your 2024 Ford Escape PHEV. You can pair this with the etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar # e34ZR which includes safety cables and has a built-in rise/drop to help avoid the need for a high-low adapter to keep your setup level.

If you don't already have it, you will need wiring and a brake system as well. The Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit # RM-15267 is the most reliable option for tow bar wiring. Then for a brake system I recommend the Curt RVibrake Shadow 2 # RVI94FR which will also require the Mounting Bracket # RM-8700-PBC. This comes with a charge line so you won't need that separately.

Where are you headed once you get the Escape set up for flat towing?

I already have a portable brake Buddy brake. It is used in my Jeep. Do you have the necessary wiring to use the brake Buddy in my escape & keep the batttery charged?

@MarvH oh no! The second vehicle kit is no longer available. Hopkins is completely gone, and all of those parts for the Brake Buddy systems are gone as well. You might be able to find it somewhere still, it came with the 39339, 39340, and 39342. However, based on recent questions from other customers it doesn't seem likely. If you decide to switch to a different portable system the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR is a really reliable option and I definitely don't see them going away like Hopkins did. You would also want to add the charge line kit # RM-156-25 and Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay # RM-88400.

@MarvH since you already have a Roadmaster tow bar the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM77GR would be the better choice. This is also confirmed to fit PHEV models.
