Best Awning Option for a 2023 Winnebago Solis 59PX with a Pop-Top Roof

Hi! I took a look at your 2023 Winnebago Solis 59PX, and I can definitely see why you're asking. That pop-top roof really limits the space available for a traditional awning, so there aren't many options that fit well.

The best solution I've found is the Thule HideAway Wall Mount Awning, Part # TH490011, used with the Thule Wall Mount Adapter for the Ram ProMaster, Part # TH308960. Because of the pop-top, you won't be able to use the standard roof-mounted brackets, but the wall mount adapter lets the awning install above the sliding door where it can provide the rain coverage you're looking for.

I actually had a chance to see this same style awning installed on a Solis with the pop-top roof at an RV show, and I thought it looked really clean. It covered the sliding door area nicely without interfering with the pop-top. The only downside is that the adapter does require drilling into the side of the van for installation. I know drilling into a newer RV isn't anyone's favorite thing to do, but I think it's the best option if you're looking for a permanent awning that fits your Solis properly.

Are you looking for something that's permanently mounted, or would you also consider a portable awning if it meant avoiding drilling into the van?

@RussellH No, the awning roles out of the canister which is flush with the body of the vehicle so there won't be any leaking.
