Question:
Before I order, if I'm installing a new roof vent do I only need Dicor or should I also buy butyl tape?

Hey Kevin! I'd definitely use both. Butyl tape like # DC38SR creates the primary seal between the roof and the vent. Dicor Self-Leveling Lap Sealant # DC94SR provides the weatherproof secondary seal over the screws and flange. This is pretty standard practice for the industry, and what works best to prevent any unwanted leaks.
Which roof vent are you replacing?
