Question:

I have a 2024 RAM 3500 Mega Cab Short Bed truck and looking t buy a 2026 Alliance Paradigm 388 SP with a Curt kingpin. GVWR is 19k, what slider hitch do you recommend? Im also considering the Reese Goosebox as well. Thx!

Hey Paul, for your 2024 Ram 3500 short bed with the OEM pucks the slider hitch I would recommend is the Demco Autoslide part # DM89GV as it has the capacity needed for your 2026 Alliance Paradigm 388 SP but mostly because it is an autoslider which means around tight turns it will automatically slide back and give you the turning clearance you need meaning you won't ever have to have to remember to activate the slider.

Since your 2026 Alliance Paradigm 388 SP has a Lippert Rhino box pin box there are fifth wheel to gooseneck adapters available but the Reese Goose Box is no longer made so that is not an option at this time. We have the similar and very popular MORryde GooseTech part # MR24MV that would fit and would be a really great option if you decide to that route. This would be what I would lean towards so that you wouldn't ever have to mess with a heavy fifth wheel hitch and this would actually be a smoother and quieter towing experience.
