Can Girard Tankless Water Heater Replace 6 Gallon Water Heater In Travel Trailer
Updated 07/31/2026 | Published 07/25/2026 >
Question:
I'm replacing the original 6 gallon water heater in my travel trailer. Is this Girard unit made to fit the same opening or will I need to modify the side of my camper?

Hey Mark! The Girard RV Tankless Water Heater # GI65VR is designed to replace many common 6-gallon RV water heaters. The water heater itself measures 13-3/4" long x 12-1/2" wide x 12-1/2" tall, and it includes a 15" x 15" white access door for the installation. I'd still compare those dimensions to your existing water heater and opening before ordering to confirm it's a direct fit.
What water heater are you replacing?
