What is Distance From Top of Yakima Exo Bike Rack Shank to Upper Bike Rack Trays

Question:
On the Yakima EXO Swing Away 2 Bike Rack w/ Cargo Carrier - 2 Hitches - will the raised bike rack portion, holding two gravel bikes, block the brake and directional lights on a Mercedes Sprinter 3500 chassis? Could you let me know the distance from the hitch to the bottom part of the raised bike rack portion. That might help me with this decision. I am based in the central part of CT. Thank you.

Hey Scott, the distance from the shank of the Yakima EXO Swing Away 2 Bike Rack w/ Cargo Carrier # Y54ZR to the trays where the bikes are carried is 26 inches. Keep in mind that the taillights are often times a lot wider spaced than bikes and are also taller in general so there should be quite a bit of taillight still visible even if your bikes somehow blocked the taillights to a smaller extent.
