I bought one a couple years ago, and clamped a Yakima bike rack to it and noticed when rack removed, plastic outer coating was deformed where clamp had been. Hopefully the structural metal tbe below is not damaged, but not way to tell for sure.

@Tom The # MPG202 included vinyl coated steel crossbars with a pretty high weight capacity of 165 lbs so I'd assume structurally the rack itself would be fine. I don't know that I could tell for sure by photos but if you wanted to email me a few I'd be happy to take a look. What Yakima bike rack were you using?
