Question:
Hello I’m trying to add a slide out awning to my camper. Outside flange to outside flange is 155”. Will the 163” awning work? I believe it’s best to add extra 5” to overall width. I’d like to have slightly more over hang for better coverage. Will this work or do I need a specific model. Thanks

Hi Tommy,
I wouldn't recommend going with the Solera RV Slide-Out Awning part # LCV000168110 because it intended for slide outs that are 158"-163" wide. I understand you'd like some overhang for extra coverage, but Lippert already accounts for that based on your flange-to-flange measurement, so you don't need an awning with a larger width than your slide out.
Instead, I suggest using the Solera RV Slide Out Awning part # LCV000168109 that is intended to work with slides that are 152"-157" wide from the flange to flange. Its awning rail is 157" long so you will still have a little overhang on each side and 48" projection. I've included a video showing how the awning is installed as well in case you have questions while mounting it to your camper.
What are your favorite spots to take your camper to?
