Looking for 1 inch D-Ring Adapter for Roadmaster Eagle 8000 Tow Bar  

I took two 1/2” pieces of metal and cut them to fit inside the D rings. I then drilled a 7/8” hole in them and welded them together to make 1”. Lots of grinding to get them to fit inside of the d rings. Make sure there is no play, snug fit. The jeep adapters for the road master tow bar, I swapped out and put the jeeo adapters on the tow bar then they fit perfectly through the metal pieces. There is no play going down the road. Make sure the tow bar can travel up and down while connected . I did this for my 2025 Bronco with the factory metal bumper. Not recommended for the plastic bumper or the small d rings, not strong enough. Email if you would like pictures or questions. I would have used 1” thick metal. But only had 1/2”. I used cardboard to mark and cut out a template.

The bushings worked perfectly, a bit of a challenge to redrill my holes. Take your time!!

Hi Terry, I simply unbolted the plate adapters and bolted in the D-ring adapters and fit snug. No modifications at all.

The adapter fit my Roadmaster perfectly. Nothing needed to be adapted. Towed my 2003 Wrangler with ease. Good luck!

It works great I have flat towed my 2009 Jeep Wrangler JK 5 times since I purchased. I am planning another trip the end of the month.
