Avaialbility of 60" Axle With 49-3/8" Spring Center

Question:

Do you have an 60” axle that has brackets with 49 3/8” center springs. 49 3/8” spring centers is what my small pop-up camper axle that we are replacing, Vintage 1978-1980 Coleman Rebel

Hey Mark, welcome back! All of our 60" axles like # 20440I-EZ-60 you looked at have a 48" spring center measurement. What you can do is cut off the spring seats and weld on new ones # TRSS175 to match your existing measurement. Make sure you match your existing axle capacity as well.

Robin, Thanks yah I have talked to a guy that is going to help me out with that, because I was expecting this would be your answer. I’m realizing what I’m dealing with it just too outdated with new industry standards. Appreciate your response. Mark

@MarkB yeah, unfortunately this is pretty common when working on older trailers. Even on some of the newer ones people run into needing a complete replacement because something becomes obsolete. If you need anything else don't hesitate to reach out.

@RobinH I was able to get brackets adjusted/rewelded and all is well. Axle fits now and has been reassembled to fit the 49 3/8” spring center.
