Will Install of Roadactive Suspension Kit Raise Truck Height of 2024 Ford F-250

Question:

Will this raise the unloaded vehicle height? I have a 2024 F250 4wd with 5th wheel hitch. My truck JUST fits in my garage with ½inch to 1inch clearance at top of truck. I used these on my F150 with a bumper pull and loved them. I cant afford this truck to be any higher. Thank you

Hey Tom, the install of the Roadactive kit part # RAS3611-SHD won't affect the unloaded ride quality unless you really crank up the spring tension then it will lift it slightly. If I had to guess I would say it would slightly lift your suspension once you set it up to help when towing your fifth wheel but not enough to cause clearance issues. What fifth wheel do you have?

Thanks for the info. We have a 2024 Arcadia 292SLRL 5th wheel. 11,000 pounds loaded. I am also considering the Timbren suspension enhancement system. I just cant afford to raise the unloaded height due to garage clearance.

@TomM I wouldn't recommend the Timbren unless ride quality isn't a concern at all as they are known for a harsher ride quality.

@JamesonC Thanks for that info! That is what I liked when I had Roadactive kit on my F150. Great ride even without a load. I will check my exact garage clearance on the F250 and make a decision. I'll post some specs if I install the RAS.

Hey Tom. I installed this on my 2012 F250 extended cab with an 8’ bed. I found no change in height or ride when not loaded. However once loaded, the ride height did not squat like it had before. The ride was much better loaded. My headlights were no longer blinding oncoming cars. It makes the compression of the leaf spring more of a progressive spring rate. Big improvement for hauling. I installed mine on my 2026 F250 4x4 and I have it set for the higher spring tension. It did raise my bed height about an inch but the ride quality improved dramatically when towing my travel trailer.
