Looking for Replacement G390 Key for for RV Door

Updated 07/14/2026 | Published 07/01/2026

Question:

Two quick questions: We have a 2015 Classic and we love it but our first travels during a heavy rain storm revealed water intrusion when we set it up at our site. Dont see how water can get in as badly as it did. All side clamps were secure and tight. Also, during our 3200 mile journey, the outside of the driver side tire wore down to bare rubber but rest of tread had normal wear. Is the trailer set up like a cars front end alignment and is there an adjustment for tire setting perpendicular to the road? Need a door key, I think it is G-890 but could be 390hard to tell by the stamp. Thank you!

Any idea where the water came in at? It's hard to say what would cause that without narrowing down where you think it was coming in.

It sounds like maybe the trailer was backing into a curb and bent a spindle and that's why the tire is wearing on the inside. This is pretty common. Typically you can take the trailer to a shop that does alignments and they'd be able to help with that.

I'd be willing to bet that the key number you have is 390 and the correct replacement would be the Global Links part # 295-000169 which would have G390 on it.

Thank you for your response. Can the spindle be straightened at an alignment shop, or do we need a new spindle? I know you can't make such diagnostics over the phone but if they say spindle needs to be replaced,we probably want to go with OEM? As for the leak, I narrowed it down as it appears to be the front piano hinge for main roof across width of trailer. I put waterproof rubberized tape over it and it seems to flex enough yet keep water out. I am assuming there is a gasket or weatherstripping to prevent that from happening. Don't need it now, but cost? Thanks!

@JohnB Spindles generally can't be straightened but alignment shops can do some pretty crazy things so you might check depending on how bad it might be. I'm glad you found and fixed the leak! Butyl tape would be a great way to seal the hinge back up like with the part # DC38SR.
