Looking for Replacement Remote for Superwinch S5000

Question:
What remote do I use for a superwinch S5000 It has 4 pins. I read on your site that Bryce D recommended SW2272 which has 3 pins. will it still work since it has one less pin.

Are you sure the S5000 winch you have has a 4 prong remote? I found pictures online of that now discontinued winch and looking at the remote that comes with it you can see the remote is a 3 prong remote and the part # SW2272 is correct replacement. Do you by chance have a different winch model?

The winch itself has 4 pins in a group of six inputs. I tried the 3 pin remote and it worked. Thank you!
