Hello Daniel,

Happy to get you a flat tow package so you can get your 2018 Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited ready for your next adventure!

- Base Plate: Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # BX1126. This installs on the front of your Jeep and provides the attachment points for the tow bar. The removable arms can be taken off when you're not towing to help maintain a clean factory look.

- Tow Bar: Blue Ox Avail Non-Binding Tow Bar - RV Mount - 2" Hitch - 10,000 lbs # BX7420. This heavy-duty tow bar connects your Jeep to your motorhome and features non-binding latches, making it much easier to disconnect, even if you're parked on uneven ground.

- Wiring: Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 7-Way to 6-Way Coiled Adapter Cord # RM-15267. This kit ties into your Jeep's existing taillights so the motorhome can control the brake lights, turn signals, and running lights while you're towing.

- Braking System: The correct braking system depends on the type of brakes your motorhome has. If your coach has air brakes, I recommend the Demco Air Force One Flat Tow Brake System # DM26VR. If your coach has hydraulic brakes, the Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo Braking System # DM86VR is the way to go. Both systems are proportional, meaning they apply the Jeep's brakes in proportion to how hard you're braking in the motorhome.

With either braking system, you'll also need the Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-88400. This relay allows the Jeep's brake lights to function properly with the supplemental braking system and prevents signal conflicts while towing.

Our prices do change a lot as we try to stay competitive, so you will need to add the items to the shopping cart to see the total price. I also included a great help article on the "Must-Have Flat Towing Components" it is a great read if you are new to flat towing, or a great refresher for the seasoned flat tower.

Are you new to flat towing, or just getting a new vehicle set-up? Where are you going to go for the first big trip?

I am not entirely sure, but the 10,000lb tow bar is probably over kill for the weithts of your Jeep. It is extremely well built and is tough looking and feels strong. I bought to tow my 2025 Lincoln Nautilus that weighs about 4700 pounds, thinking I should have the extra coverage. I think the 7,500 lb bars would have been able to handle the load as well. E Trailer did an outstanding job of shipping everything I needed. Packed well and they were able to answer all questions. Great company to deal with.

@Stacey Yes, the Blue Ox tow bars are stronger than what you need, but if you ever get a heavier vehicle you will be ready for it as well. Usually when someone asks on a certain tow bar it is because it is the one they like, so I go with it. If you wanted some lower rated ones, the Blue Ox Alpha Non-Binding Tow Bar - RV Mount - 2" Hitch - 8,500 lbs # BX7380 would be great, they are about the same price as the Avail. Or if you wanted a 7,500 pound option, the Demco Dominator Non-Binding Tow Bar for Blue Ox and Curt Base Plates- RV Mount- 2" Hitch - 7.5K # DM9511008-BX would be a great option, they are quite a bit more. The Avail that you were originally looking at is a very popular choice. Great call out with the weight rating Stacey.

I bought the Blue Ox tow bar for our Jeep Rubicon SRT with a 392 engine. The Jeep scales in at 5,600 pounds. I have had zero issues with the Blue Ox system. If you are running the 3.6 V6 engine without a lot of mods your Jeep should scale in around 4,000 or so. I chose the Demco brake system for the Jeep and added coach net for an extra measure of safety. Unfortunately there have been several folks towing with an RV where the toad vehicle engaged by itself while the vehicles were driving down the road. If you own a diesel pusher like we do you would not feel the drag. The coach net lets you know when the brakes are deployed on your tow vehicle. When towing a vehicle behind your motorhome I would not be concerned so much with price as a lot of bad things can happen if one of them fails. It basically comes down to piece of mind. My tow gear will support 10,000 pounds.

We bought the system to flat tow a 2013 Scion xB manual shift. Works great so far. We’ve taken it on 4 trips. Now that I’m used to it, it sets up very easy and you can take it off within a couple minutes. We bought a protective shield as well to protect the cars windshield
