Hey Larry. The Derale Series 7000 Tube-Fin Cooler Core w/ AN Inlets item # D13314 ties into your Ram's transmission fluid lines. It's not going to be an isolated setup if that's what you're asking.
The Derale item # item # D13314 is one of the biggest ones we carry. It's designed for the 5.9L Cummins I6 turbo diesel engine but so long as you have room for the 17-1/2" Wide x 10-1/4" tall x 3/4" deep cooler it doesn't matter what engine you have. The bigger the cooler the lower your transmission temps going to be.
We do have the Derale Series 7000 Tube-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/ AN Inlets item # D13304. It's the same cooler but this kit includes includes the mounting brackets, hoses, and connectors for the 5.9L Cummins engine.
What kind of trailer are you pulling and are you going up and down step elevations with it?
