Question:

I noted that some of the E Tracks show a weight rating of 1,000 or 2,000 pounds. What is the weight rating of theseE-Tracks? I am towing a 5,400 pound truck on a car hauler, would a 2,000 pound rated E-Track suffice as there is one-quarter of the weight at each wheel similar to the strap calculation? If these are not sufficient, what is recommended for my application?

Welcome back Scott! The Buyers Products Horizontal E Track item # 3371903055 have a 2,000 lbs working load limit per track. Installing four of these will definitely be sufficient for a 5,400 lbs truck. You'd have a 8,000 lbs working load limit at that point.

The four Snap-Loc E Track Tie-Down Strap w/ Ratchet item # SLLS216RER you purchased earlier this month will definitely work with the Horizontal E Track item # 3371903055. You'll be able to easily secure your truck.

If you have a wooden deck, I recommend using the etrailer E-Track Backing Plates w/ Hardware item # e46RR to secure the tracks.
