Question:
I was unable to order the exact parts I have. So I ordered replacement parts as close as I could. So my question is I ordered 25 1/4” c to c springs on my tandem trailer I ordered an equalizer that 5 3/4” c to c. What is the correct spacing on hangers c to c. I have 2 1/4” shackle straps. I want to be sure the angle of the shackle straps are correct.

Thanks for reaching out, Darrell.
I do have some information that should help with your project.
Based on the equalizer kit you ordered, part # K71-359-00, and the 25-1/4" springs, part # e34SR, I attached a diagram that shows the recommended hanger spacing for that setup.
In the diagram, I highlighted the spring length that matches yours so you can easily see which dimensions apply to your trailer. That should give you a good starting point for positioning the hangers and checking that your shackle straps sit at the proper angle once everything is assembled.
One thing to keep in mind is that it's normal for the shackle angle to change slightly once the trailer is sitting on the ground and carrying weight. The goal is to have everything sitting naturally without the shackles being pulled too far forward or backward.
Take a look at the diagram and let me know if any of the measurements don't line up with what you're seeing on your trailer. I'd be happy to help you double-check the setup before you start welding or drilling anything.
What kind of trailer are you working?

The equalizer that was shipped with the links was not usable. We had the Dexter equalizer that had a wider spacing. The 25.25 inch springs worked fine. The wet bolts that were intended to be used at the front and rear ends were not long enough for the hangers. The shoulder lenght on the wet bolts needed to be 1/2 inch longer than the bolts in the middle. E-trailer had a huge problem sending me the correct wet bolts. We had to use the old dry bolts. we were in Gunnison CO and eventually did get longer bolts. i changed them out in South Dakota. You need a good 1/2" impact driver. do not skimp on the impact driver. You definitely want to use the thicker links. the plates that fit on top of the leaf springs were good but did not have the mounting hole s for the shock absorber that my 2015 heartland big horn had installed. I have photos.
