Question:

I am looking for an add on towing mirror for my 2018 f350 super duty. I do have electric extendable mirrors but with a wide body rv I seek a bit more. All seem to say “ not for your vehicle” . Any suggestions? Thanks

Hey Mike, thanks for reaching out!

Since your 2018 F350 already has the factory power extending tow mirrors, there isn't a custom slip on mirror that's designed to fit over them. That's why many towing mirrors show as "not compatible."

The CIPA Universal Towing Mirrors # CM11952-2 are the best option because they were designed to work with large shaped factory mirrors. The adjustable arms fit mirrors between 7" and 10" tall.

What style of RV/Motorhome are you towing behind the F350?

105” wide trailer. My mirrors are 109” outside to outside

@MikeF I completely understand having a wider field of view, these would be the best option we have available. We have tons of videos with these mirrors in action for you to see what they look like. Let me know what you think.

To be honest, I gave up using these mirrors. They are very wobbly and vibrate. Hard to follow traffic that is behind you.

@CraigV Thank you for sharing your experience! Sorry to hear these mirrors didn't work out as planned. Excessive vibration can definitely make it hard to keep an eye on traffic behind you. Thanks for giving them a try and for taking the time to leave a review.

Well, I bought that mirror extension set and discovered it just was not anything that would work for me. It all depends on the style of review mirror you have. Mine was a car mirror that was fat near the car and taped to a narrower section at the outside of the mirror. The mirror extension with the rubber bands just would not work. I ended up returning them and getting the active "clamp-on" style of mirrors that clamp on the top of the review mirror housing. This provided a MUCH MUCH better hold on the mirror that I could rely on.

Poor quality, hard to attach, wobbled too much. I gave these a 1 Star. That was being generous.

@Deb appreciate your honesty. These are universal so fitment can vary but it's always good to know what works and what doesn't. Appreciate you stopping by and thanks for choosing etrailer!
