Question:

Good Day, We are looking to change our fifth wheel hitch pin from rigid to cushioned. We own a 2015 Outdoors RV Glacier Peak F26RDS fifth wheel. It looks like we have a Lippert 1716 factory installed but are not sure. Will the MORryde Cushioned 5th Wheel Pin Box for 11.5K to 14K Trailers w/ Lippert 1716 Part Number: MR37VR fit our fifth wheel hitch?

Yes, it will Jim. The MORryde Cushioned 5th Wheel Pin Box item # MR37VR is exactly what you need to replace a Lippert 1716. It looks like your 2015 Outdoors RV Glacier Peak F26RDS tops out at just below 13,000 lbs so this pin box will be perfect.

The MORryde Cushioned 5th Wheel Pin Box item # MR37VR uses rubber sheer springs to absorb road shocks and vibrations before they're transferred to your truck. The pin box allows for up to 3" of front to back movement and 1-1/2" of lateral movement, which helps with chucking and that push and pull feeling.

What pin box do you currently have and what kind of issues are you having with it that has you looking at upgrading to the MORryde item # MR37VR?

@JimZ You're welcome! You can see if your pin box has any part numbers on it. That would be the easiest way to identify it on a weekend. If you can't find one, there will be a sticker that's attached above your current pin box on the mounting bracket. The sticker should say date of manufacture, weight capacity, and have some form of RPO, LCI, or serial number on it. If you could carefully put all that information in a comment box, I can call Lippert next week.

@JerredH I cannot find any identification stickers or stamps on it. I can tell you that the bolt pattern looks like the Lippert 1716 and the dimensions match that of a Lippert 1716 based on the Lippert Quick Identification Guide I found on the Lippert support site: https://support.lci1.com/documents/qr-035-pin-box-identification-guide

@Jim Awesome! Measuring the bolt pattern was going to be my next suggestion so that works out well. Since you have a 1716 bolt pattern the MORryde Cushioned 5th Wheel Pin Box item # MR37VR is exactly what you'll need.
