Question:

I have a 2026 Tundra that has a GVWR of 7200 lbs. What do you recommend to help with pulling a camping trailer that weighs 6500 lbs?

Congrats on the new truck David! For your 2026 Toyota Tundra, I recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs item # F89VV. These air bags have a 5,000 lbs capacity that will level out the rear end of your Tundra when you are towing your trailer. They're also going to provide cushioning to help absorb bumps on the road so you have a more comfortable ride.

The Firestone item # F89VV includes all mounting brackets, air lines, fittings, and hardware you'll need to complete the installation. This system fits both the 2WD and 4WD models with the factory height suspension.

I also recommend adding the Firestone Air Command item # F2610 to your truck. This onboard compressor will allow you to adjust the PSI in your air bags from your phone. It also includes a no drill mounting bracket to make for an easier installation.

I have a 2025 Highbred Tundra. My dealer told me that tundra would tow 12,000lb. It might tow 12,000 lb., but it cannot haul 12,000lb without help. When I added Firestone 5000 Air lift, this took care of problem. Without Firestone 5000 Truck was nose high, without a load or water in 27 ft. Camper trailer. now I can adjust load on back to level truck with trailer loaded. Also, a Marine, 1966-1970 (Cobra-3) Sniper. Semper Fi, Best of Luck.

This a great product. Bolted on with no hole drilling. I installed on a 2024 Tundra. The pump and dash gage make it easy to adjust the airbags for the two trailers I pull. One is a dump trailer and the other is a 25’ Airstream. The airstream is about 7000 lbs loaded. I also use the E-Qualizer WDH. Nice stable pull.

I have a 2026 Tundra SR5. We tow a 32ft, 9655 GVMR. I opted to install these on my own. It took me a couple of hours. The instructions are very clear and I made sure to follow them meticulously. I don’t want to risk missing anything. We have travelled frequently and had zero problems. I would recommend them highly.
