Replacement Lift Arm Assembly for Manual Roof Vent on 2003 American Pace Enclosed Trailer

Updated 05/30/2026 | Published 05/23/2026

Question:

HI, I have a 2003 American Pace enclosed tailer. Im going to purchase the vent cover part No: BV0554-01, which fits great as Ive purchased in the past. My question is I need to replace the lift arm assembly and part number looks identical to what I need FVK8011-05 but it says its for a FanTastic roof vent. Mine is just a regular vent and it doesnt have a motor. Can you tell me is this will fit the vent cover above Im going to purchase. The dimensions are spot on too. Thank you!

Hi Diana,

Thank you for sending the photo. Based on your vent setup, the Replacement Lift Arm Assembly part # FVK8011-05 does appear to be the correct replacement for your manual roof vent especially since the dimensions line up. Even though the part is listed for Fan Tastic Vent models, the lift arm design matches the scissor style mechanism used on your vent. Your vent does not need to have a motor for this arm to work since the lift arm operates independently from any powered fan components. I feel confident this will work with the BV0554-01 vent cover you are purchasing and should allow the lid to open, close, and seal properly again.

What do you mainly use your Pace trailer for, work, toys, or camping?

I was asked to comment as a customer, and I agree with Heather A’s (etrailer representative) assessment. Since the BV0554-01 vent lid appears to be the same configuration as the continuous hinge pre-2008 Ventline 40155, 40148 and 40161 and Elixir (starting with 1994) vent lids, for which the FVK8011-05 lift arm fits, then the FVK8011-05 would also be compatible with and operate the BV0554-01 vent lid.

The lift arm pictured is the one I used on my motorized Fantastic fan we had in our 2018 Fleetwood Discovery. The fan worked "fantastically" after the installation. It has been a while, so I apologize if I'm mistaken. We traded that pusher in for our present Tiffin Phaeton, with three more Fantastic fans!
