Hello Bill, thanks for reaching out. No, the Furrion # F30ATS transfer switch does not have a built-in surge protector/surge guard. It’s strictly an automatic transfer switch that safely switches between shore power, generator power, or inverter power using a mechanical interlock system. If you need surge protection, you'd need to add a separate surge protector in front of the transfer switch. Something like a Power Watchdog # HU67FR would work great for that.
