Question:

I have a 2026 Ford F 250 super duty xlt. I also have the Andersen ultimate 5th wheel hitch gen 3. What 2 5/16 gooseneck ball for the Ford puck system should I get?

Hi John,

If you're wanting to tow with a gooseneck ball in your new F-250's puck system, instead of the gooseneck ball that works with your Andersen Ultimate hitch, I recommend the B&W Ball and Safety Chain Kit for Ford part # BWGNXA2061. It's rated for 30K towing, which is higher than the Andersen's 20K rating, and will easily drop down into your Ford's puck system. It's also equipped with a handle that works as a grip to remove/install the ball and also locks flat to the truck bed when in use to keep the ball secure. When you're not towing with it, the B&W Ball and Safety Chain Kit come with its own storage box so it can be tucked away without any risk of losing pieces. I've included a photo of the dimensions of the gooseneck ball so you can compare it to your current towing set up.

What are you planning on towing with the gooseneck hitch?

I have this hitch in my F350. I haul livestock all the time. Easy install and removal which is convenient when needing to haul wood or hay etc…

@Jerry Thanks for sharing! Glad to hear it's been working well for you. Being able to pull the hitch out quickly when it's time to haul hay, wood, or other cargo is definitely one of the best features. We appreciate the feedback!
