Will The Thomas Payne ClickBack Trifold TP67KR Fit Thru A Door Smaller Than 26"?

Regarding the Thomas Payne Click Back sofa. My 2024 Thor Ace has a 24 inch door opening. Specs indicate 26 door opening is required. Can this item be partially disabled to fit through my 24 inch opening.

Hey Chris, thanks for reaching out. Yes, there’s a pretty good chance you can get the Thomas Payne ClickBack Trifold RV Loveseat and Sleeper # TP67KR through a 24" door opening. The reason the specs call for a 26" opening is because that’s the “safe” assembled dimension, but the Clickback sofa is designed with a removable back assembly. The Lippert install manual actually shows the back being bolted onto the base separately during assembly.

So in the real world, most RV techs will pull the backs off, remove the feet, and sometimes even compress the arms a little with moving blankets and ratchet straps to sneak them through tighter openings. I’ve seen guys get Thomas Payne furniture through some pretty ugly Class A doorways that were technically “too small.”
