Replacement Trifold RV Loveseat and Sleeper for a 2020 Newmar 3014 Class A Motorhome

Updated 02/25/2026 | Published 02/22/2026

Question:

Hello, we want to replace the uncomfortable sofa in our 2020 Newmar 3014 Class A Motorhome, and we are interested in the 72inch Thomas Payne ClickBack Trifold Loveseat and Sleeper. Questions: 1. The hard surface of the slide on which the sofa sits is 32-1/2inch with the carpet extending another few inches. Current sofa is 34. New one would be 33. I assume that would work. 2. We have 77-1/2inch inches from back wall of sofa to padded ends of dinette to extend sleeper. Would that work? 3. Our door opening is 24-1/2. Would it fit? Thank you,

Hey, Mary!

I'm more than happy to help so you can get a comfier couch in your RV! You've got some great questions so I'll go over them one by one.

1. Slide out depth: You will be in the clear here. The Thomas Payne ClickBack # P47KR is 33" deep, so since your current 34" sofa fits, this one will fit great.

2. Extended clearance: Yes, that will work. When folded out into the sleeper position, the ClickBack measures 66" deep, so you’ll still have plenty of room between the back wall and your dinette.

3. Will it fit your 24-1/2" door opening? Yes! I think this is one of the top questions we get when someone wants to get a new couch for their RV. The ClickBack requires a minimum 26" doorway opening. Since your opening is 24-1/2", it will be tight but it will fit.

And between us, these really are comfortable. When we first brought them in, I had the chance to try them out and was genuinely impressed. It should be a noticeable upgrade from your current sofa!

What kind of trips are you gearing up for this year?
