Can GE Appliances Deluxe Plus RV AC System Replace AC In 2024 Winnebago Micro Minnie

Question:

I have a 24 Winnebago Micro Minie and the org. GE aircon. was a ARC15AACBH3 model that within less than a year, it began blowing warm air.....RV tech found it was a Refrigerant leak and a warrantee claim was issued.....well now have a GRCS15XAHBH2 that was sent for replacement but shipping issues delayed the arrival so I felt I may just have you all send me a GE57ZR 15K, Ducted with Heat so to upgrade .....I have a GE Therm. RAREC3A2 currently and the org. AC is ducted model.....is the GE57ZR the right replacement if I want to upgrade with Heat option? Also why is the replacement that GE is sending have a Diff model number....is it because of the change in refrigerant used? sorry one more I am a recant mil retiree ...is there any discounts? RW

Hi Bob, sorry to hear you're having so much trouble sorting out your AC! The GE Appliances Deluxe Plus RV AC System w/ Heat Pump # GE75ZR can be used to upgrade and replace the AC in your 2024 Winnebago Micro Minnie. OEM model numbers are all over the place so I'm not sure what the reason is for the difference. Your picture shows you had an R410A, and everything since last year has been R32 due to EPA regulations.

This AC system you're looking at is a complete replacement, which is why it will work. The R32 units are not backwards compatible with the R410A setups ,so you have to swap out the air distribution box and the thermostat as well. R32 operates at different pressures and temperatures, and all of the new electronics communicate differently to handle that.

If you want to upgrade and have the heat pump this is your best option at this point. Unfortunately, we do not offer a military discount at this time.

Any big trips coming up this spring/summer once you get the AC replaced?
