Hey Brian, that’s a good question.

With four 12V 100Ah batteries wired in series, you’ve got a 48V 100Ah system, which works out to about 4,800 watt-hours of total energy.

Most small space heaters pull around 1,200–1,500 watts, so you’re looking at roughly 3 hours of runtime in ideal conditions. In the real world, it’ll usually be a bit less once you factor in inverter losses and any other loads running.

The Victron Quattro inverter charger # VN95VR can handle a space heater just fine from a power standpoint - it’s really the battery capacity that determines how long you can run it. This inverter has an efficiency of 95% which is really good!

Space heaters are one of the heavier loads you can run off batteries, similar to AC units, so they’ll drain a system pretty quickly. Are you planning to use it for short bursts of heat or trying to run it longer off-grid?

Also, not sure if you plan to run at night or during the day, but you may benefit from a solar panel charge kit like # e99FV to keep the batteries topped off.
