Question:

I’m looking at this to replace my current washing setup, is there a dryer to pair with this unit in a stackable configuration and what other items will I need to complete the installation.

Hey Dan, thanks for reaching out. The GE RV stackable washer # GE72FR does pair with the GE Spacemaker RV stackable electric dryer # GE42FR, and they’re designed to stack cleanly in a tight RV space. The key piece to make that work is the GE stacking kit, part GFA24MIDW, which secures the dryer safely on top of the washer. Availability on that kit can be hit or miss, and we no longer carry it so that’s something you would want to confirm you can get before you commit to the stack setup.

As far as what you’ll need for a complete install, plan on proper 120V power for each unit, a dryer vent kit routed to the exterior, hot and cold water supply lines, a drain connection, and vibration pads if you’re installing in a cabinet space. If you’re tight on room or want to simplify things, the GE washer/condenser dryer combo # GE62FR is another solid option since it eliminates the need for a separate dryer vent and stacking hardware.
