Prodigy P2 Brake Controller # 90885 Displays only 1 Blue Dot But Trailer Brakes Work Properly

Purchased a Prodigy P2 90885 5/15/2012 It started to display only one 1 blue dot? Controller activates brakes but no numbers display. Tried on two 2 trailers that I know operate ok. I think it maybe the controller whats your suggestion and is it still under its limited life time warranty ?

Thank you for your 2012 brake controller purchase from etrailer of the Prodigy P2 # 90885. This popular unit is indeed covered by a limited lifetime warranty from Tekonsha.
Since your P2 is generating correct output signals to power your trailer brakes it sounds like the issue may be just a bad display. If your display shows only the single dot (but never shows any other type of codes) then this does suggest the display component has gone bad.
There is a possibility that you might be able to re-set the P2 to correct this issue. Try unplugging the connector from the rear of the controller for at least 5 minutes. If it does not re-set and display information as it should then please let me know.
