Will the 44inch solera awning pull fit the groove of a Dometic awning?

It sure will David! The Replacement Pull Strap item # LC388388 is designed to fit into the standard 1/4" accessory groove on a Solera awning roller tube. This is a standard size which Dometic uses as well on their awning rollers.
The Pull Strap item # LC388388 has a rigid 3-1/2" rod that slides cleanly into the roller tube groove. You won't have to make an unnecessary modifications like holes or cuts.
