Great question. When the Curt Tow Bar 7-Way Coiled Power Cord # C39HR isn’t stretched, it measures about 3 feet end to end. The coiled section is just under a foot, with straight sections on each side about the same length.

I attached a photo of the measurement for you as well.

I found that it works well with our setup but it does have a lot of pull on the connectors because the coil is so tight. I use a reusable twist tie on each end to keep it from pulling on the connectors.

@JackW I do the same thing after having one end pop out on a trip and grind to a nub while dragging on the ground.

@JackW Sometimes these can get pretty stretched out on sharp turns, especially if you have a high low adapter or a dule hitch adapter to also carry a bike rack.

@JoeP Oh no! Sorry to hear that happened to your plug. I do wish that they would have options for longer ones. The longest ones we have is 8ft like this one.
