Will 59" Rhino-Rack Reconn-Deck Crossbars Work w/ 2020 Toyota Tacoma w/ 5 Foot Bed & RetraxPro XR

Question:

Hello, I have a Gen 3 2020 Toyota Tacoma with a 5 foot bed. Currently have a Retrax pro XR bed cover. I would like to install some Rhino Rack Recon Deck Bars with quick mount legs onto the Retrax T-slot rail system. On the Rhino Rack website it recommends the 65 inch bar length. My question is if I could get away with the 59 inch Recon Deck Bar? The middle of t slots on the retrax rail are about 57-58 inches apart from the middle of the other sides t slot. Also other than more mountable pace is there any loss of load capacity or performance for getting a smaller bar that I would hope is close to being flush. Not too short and not sticking out too much

Hey Nathan,

Yes, the 59 inch bars are something you can use with your 2020 Toyota Tacoma with a 5 foot bed and the RetraxPRO XR Hard Tonneau Cover # RTT-80851. In fact, the correct size Reconn-Deck crossbar is 59 inches for the Reconn-Deck Truck Bed Rack # RR29VH that fits your Tacoma so it'll be perfectly fine with your tonneau. What you need are two (2) of the 59" long Rhino-Rack Reconn-Deck Crossbar # RR58FH as well as the Rhino-Rack Quick Mount Legs # RRRLT600.

There won't be a loss of capacity or performance for you, the 59 inch bars will perform exactly the same.
